I wrote and recorded a lot of (unreleased) songs in the very early part of the 21st century.
When my sister and I helped my father out with a gig that his bandmate couldn't attend- we formed our one night only band "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". The band ended up lasting a season but broke up after our gig at Fuji Rock festival, Japan. I played drums and wrote some of the songs.
Cactus was initially performed with our family band but was recorded at Bark Studios a few years later with more musicians.

This painting of mine inspired my song "Cactus", The original lyrics were
"Sleeping under the milky way I heard two cacti brawling, one called the other a prick, in love they were falling".
These lyrics were written years after my first real drunk experience which left a lasting impression.
On holiday as a young teenager. I said I would share a bottle of sweet wine with my grandmother as no one else wanted it but she only had one glass and I finished the bottle. My mother tried calming me down by advising that I lie down on my bed and listen to the cactus (she meant to say cicadas). I replied
"I can hear one calling the other a prick".
lyrics
Sleeping Under The Milky Way
I heard two cowboys brawling
One Called The Other A "Prick"
In Love
They Were Falling
Found A Bar
Love Was In
The Air Conditioning
And On The Jukebox
Was The Song
We Used To Sing
As I Hitch Hiked
A Trip Down Memory Lane
A Rude Boy Stopped
The Music
Poured My Drink
Right Down The Drain
Kicked Me Out
Chucked Me Down
With No Excuse
As The One Horse Townies
Watched And Laughed
Sipping On Their Gin And Juice
I Walked On
And On And On
I Walked On
And On And On
I Walked On
And On And On
I Went To See A Psycho
He Told Me I Would Die
Held A Gun Against My Head
Shot Me Dead So He Was Right
Now Im Dying By His Feet
And He Is Trying To Save Me
But The Kiss Of Life
Don't Feel Right
From The Man Who Tried To Kill Me
And On The Jukebox
Was The Song
We Used To Sing
I Walked On
And On And On
I Walked On
And On And On
I Walked On
And On And On
